Welcome - My name is Hope Beyer and I absolutely LOVE what I do. I consider it the utmost honor to work with my clients and help them reach their goals. I work with children, teens, parents, and adult women.
When you step into therapy with me, you’ll be met with someone who is genuine, compassionate, and fully present. Whether you’re five, fourteen, or twenty-six, I show up as a sincere support and cheerleader—ready to sit with you (or play!) and help you through it all.
My approach is person-centered, meaning you’ll always be met with empathy, authenticity, and no judgment. I also incorporate pscyho-education in my sessions because I believe understanding the why behind behaviors and emotions creates lasting change and self-acceptance. Therapy with me is real, relational, and educational.
If desired, I can integrate clinical expertise with Biblical based principles, offering a complete path to emotional healing through God. If this doesn't describe you, please rest assured that I worked in a secular environment for many years and am comfortable not integrating faith, you get to be the guide.
I have a deep passion for working with children and teens. When emotions feel big, behaviors feel overwhelming, or grief and mental health struggles leave families unsure of what to do next, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Techniques I use with older children and teens include CBT, DBT and solution focused. With younger children, I use play therapy techniques to create a safe, unstructured space where they can express themselves as they do best- through play! I follow their lead, accept them, give limits and model appropriate behaviors or coping skills. I gently guide, interpret the play, and partner with parents along the way.
For women seeking support, I see you. I know firsthand how powerful it is to have a therapist meet you in the hardest seasons of life. You deserve to feel less alone. Together, we can work through negative thought patterns, emotional overwhelm, challenging relationships, or whatever has brought you to therapy—so you can move toward the life you’re longing for.
Along with women and children, I love working with parents to help them reach their parenting goals as they face everyday challenges of raising capable and connected children. Parenting is so rewarding—and equally hard. Whether you’re seeking guidance, resources, accountability, or help implementing new approaches, we work as a team. You bring expertise about your child; I bring clinical experience. Together, we can help you parent with greater purpose, confidence, and connection.
I believe that with the right tools, support and faith, you can overcome obstacles and create a more fulfilling life. I look forward to working with you on your journey to well-being.
Before opening my private practice, I worked as an Elementary School Counselor, supporting teachers, students and families. I attended MidAmerica Nazarene University, receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology in 2018 and my Master of Arts in Counseling in 2021.
A Little More About Me...
When I am not in my office, you can find me out in the wild wrangling my three children. I love spending as much time with them as possible whether that is playing, singing and dancing, or digging in the dirt! I have the joy of homeschooling my oldest and getting to watch her learn to read this year. Along with my kids, I love my four "fur" babies.
In addition to being a mom, I love being outside to enjoy the fresh air or watch wildlife, spending time with friends and family, reading, drinking lots of coffee, or binge watching a favorite tv show or movie series!
I would love to get to know more about you!
