My name is Hope and I am a dedicated counselor with over five years of experience working with children. For two years, I worked as an Elementary School Counselor, supporting teachers, students and families. I attended MidAmerica Nazarene University, receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology in 2018 and my Master of Arts in Counseling in 2021.
My passion is helping women and children navigate challenges through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT focuses on reworking a person's negative thought patterns or beliefs to change our emotions and behaviors. Additionally, CBT is a structured therapy that gives the individual a variety of coping skills to allow them a more gratifying life. Please check out my additional resources page to understand more about this type of therapy and if it is the right fit for you or your child.
Along with women and children, I love working with parents to help them reach their parenting goals as they face everyday challenges of raising capable and connected children. I believe that with the education and skills, you can become a more purposeful parent that sees the fruit of your labor.
My approach to counseling is supportive, and solution-focused. I strive to empower my clients to gain insight, build resilience, and develop healthier ways of thinking and coping. Whether you’re a parent seeking guidance, a child struggling with emotions, or a woman facing life’s transitions, I provide a safe and nurturing space for transformation and growth. If desired, I can integrate clinical expertise with Biblical based principles, offering a complete path to emotional healing through God.
I believe that with the right tools, support and faith, you can overcome obstacles and create a more fulfilling life. I look forward to working with you on your journey to well-being.
